Newgate Farms has been a family owned, fresh market garden for five generations, since 1933 in Windsor, CT. What started as a strictly wholesale and pick-your-own farm has now evolved into a strictly retail, farmers’ market agri-business. Presently, with the help of their five children and five grandchildren they have diversified into small fruits and berries, greenhouse, cut flowers, and value-added bakery. In addition, they have added agricultural lands in Suffield and East Granby, CT.
At Newgate Farms, they strive to bring the highest quality, fresh produce and products to their customers at farmers’ markets, while maintaining a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Even though farming is demanding work, both on body and mind, they love to share their experiences with customers and look forward to the community experience of the farmers’ markets.
