Deeply Rooted Farms is a family run pick-your-own strawberry farm in Harwinton. In addition to growing over 5 acres of berries, we also raise pumpkins, specialty gourds, winter squash and operate a second generation choose-and-cut Christmas tree farm. Deeply Rooted Farms has the distinction of being one of the first and only farms in Connecticut to offer extended strawberry harvest from as early as the end of May until hard frost in the fall. Our strawberries, fresh-picked or PYO, are available at the farm, 130 Terryville Road & the adjacent field tent, as well as at local farmers’ markets. Deeply Rooted Farms places a strong value on conserving our natural resources and using sustainable farming practices. Currently, twelve acres are being cultivated for pumpkins, gourds, winter squash, Christmas trees, strawberries, and cover crops, with plans for continued expansion. The fruits of their labor are sold at Hogan’s Cider Mill in Burlington and other fine farm stands and markets throughout Litchfield County. |
